Numerical modeling of bacterium contact

Bacterial cell interaction is numerically investigated. The investigation is dedicated to shade light on its theoretical background and is important to understand cell motion. The work is divided into three parts:

- Firstly an analysis of the state of the art is performed.

- Secondly a modeling framework is derived representing cell motion and based on it numerical experiments are performed.

- Finally the obtained results are disseminated.

The project is lead by Dr. Raimondas Jasevičius VGTU, Lithuania and is performed in collaboration with TU Berlin, Germany.
